NEW AIRCRAFT CARRIERS
TWO VESSELS LAUNCHED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 3. The announcement of the awarding of the contract for a big new British aircraft carrier and the imminent launching of two more ships of this class, brings near the materialisation of the Admiralty plans for the large-scale expansion of the fleet air arm. The name of the new aircraft carrier is announced as H.M.S, Indefatigable.
