PETROL TAX INCREASE
TAXI FIRMS CONCERNED DUNEDIN CONTROL MOVE (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The increased petrol tax is promising to produce chaotic conditions in the city taxi business. Proprietors have petitioned the council for transport control, such as exists in Christchurch, Hamilton and other towns. It is considered that a small increase in fares is inevitable.
