UNION AIRWAYS SUBSIDY
RADIO CHIEF’S EXPENSES N.Z. DELEGATE’S BILL (Purl Inman tnvy Rcportor.) WELLINGTON, this day. A subsidy of £12,500 has been paid by the Air Department to Union Airways for the year ended March, 1939, according to the details- of the unauthorised expenditure accounts. The Internal Marketing Board has paid a. £SOO grant to the Honey Board for preliminary organising and £9lO for the cost of cancellation of the freight contract. The official visit of Mr. C. G. Scrimgeour, controller of Commercial Broadcasting, to Canada and the United States, involved an expenditure c-f £025. The Internal Affairs Department paid a grant of £llOO as expenses of tire New Zealand 1 delegates to the International Labour Conference* at Geneva.
