Great Britain will send a party of about 300 competitors and officials to the Olympic Games in Finland next year at a cost of between £BOOO and £IO,OOO, according to Mr. Evan Hunter, secretary of the British Olympic Association. Funds are being subscribed privately, and it is hoped to include in the team 15 or 20 v omen competitors. The world-famous golfer Henry Cotton is all in favour of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club’s rule limiting to 14 the number of clubs a player may carry. The rule has caused some concern among professionals in England, but Cotton says that the regulation, in addition to relieving the caddie, would probably help to restore some of the lost art in golf. T never carry more than 14 clubs; it is enough for anybody.”
