RECORD TRADE FLIGHT
FEAT BY AWARUA CRAFT FOR TASMAN RUN (Reed. July 31, 12 noon.) LONDON, July 30. The Imperial Airways flying-boat Awarua. intended for the Tasman service, flew 3469 miles from Basra to Southampton, a commercial record, in 39 hours, of which 23 hours were flying time. The schedule for the journey is 60 hours. The Awarua carried 13 passengers.
