NAZI ARMY SWAY
CONTROL IN DANZIG OBSTRUCTION OF OFFICIALS (.’ONCERX IN WARSAW “MUST TAKE ACTION” (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Tress Assn.) (Reed. July 31, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON. July 30. An Independent Cable Service message from Warsaw states that unofficial estimates of the militarisation of Danzig place the number of Nazis under arms in the city at 25,000. Tire total in the whole Free City area of ■175 square miles, containing towns and villages, is 60,000. Because of Nazi hindrances and: obstruction the Polish Customs officials are finding it most difficult to supervise the imports into Danzig, this resulting in'heavy loss to Poland. Diplomatic circles in Warsaw declare 'that Poland must take action if the activities of the Storm Troopers on. the wharves are not stopped. Unless this is done soon, Danzig will become- completely Nazified.
