FALL INTO HARBOUR
YOUNG MAN RESCUED DASH TO CATCH FERRY (Per Press Association.? AUCKLAND, this clay. Stepping out of n motor ear which had 'been, drawn up in the outside traffic lane on the Devonport vehicular wharf, a young man, 'Marshall St. John Walsh, of Devoniport, stumbled and fell into the harbour yesterday. The driver of the car and a ticket collector used a lifeibelt on the wharf to pull him out of the 'water. Mr. Walsh was being driven to the Wharf to catch the 'passenger ferry. The ear arrived at the wharf about two minutes 'before the ferry was due to leave and pulled up opposite the vehicular ferry ticket box The driver of the car saw Mr. Walsh open the door and step out and then found he had disappeared. Almost a' once he 'heard a loud splash, and on jumping out discovered Mr. Walsh struggling in the harbour. Mr.. 'Walsh was rescued without difficulty. Apart from suffering slight sh'ock, he was ncue the worse for his fall and was able to be Jaken home.
