NO FRUIT FOR SCHOOLS

On the ground that such a proposal could only be considered when a milk-in-s'chools scheme had been organised for the whole Dominion, the Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, has informed the committee in charge of the distribution of milk in schools in the Wanganui district that he cannot authorise an issue of fruit to schools affected by the shortage of milk.
