REMITTANCES RESTRICTED
HOLDERS OF PERMITS EXCEPTIONAL CASES ONLY, DRASTIC N.Z. CONTROL (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, (this day. Holders of permits to send funds overseas have 'been informed that for the next month or two remittances will not toe possible in any but exceptional cases. The banks have reported this restriction to commercial firms. Holders of permits to send money away who have not made use of their permits or who have only partly used them, are required under the new regulation, to have their permits re-submitted, to the Reserve Bank.
Firms are required to submit details of .the 'total amounts they Still desire to send away to meet their minimum requirements and to set out also the amount they wish to send each month, and the month or month's in, which they wish to send the money. Further remittances under unused or partially used permits will not .be possible until application is made to and approved by the Reserve 'Bank.
