TROUBLES OF FRANCO
TENSION IN SPAIN FASCIST POLICY" URGED (Independent Cable Service.) (Reed. July 29, 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 28. An Independent Cable Service message from Hendaye says that the Spanish Prime Minister, General Franco, and his Ministers held a conference to-day at Burgos, not only concerning the troubles leading to the downfall of four wartime Nationalist leaders, but also cn the economic situation, wherein lies political tension.
It is believed that there are 1,250,000 unemployed in Spain. Senor Suner, the Minister of the Interior, is urging General Franco to follow a full Fascist policy so that the Government may deal with discontent, the repression of the former Republicans and establish a check on the Monarchists.
