Financial circles in Wellington consider that although the conditions of repayment of the London loan are onerous, the terms of the loan are most satisfactory. An. opinion is difficult to give in the absence of details. On the whole it is considered it would have been difficult for the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Hash, to obtain a better bargain. It will be necessary to even more restrict imports, considering the heavy obligations to be met by the loan, and import credits, the ordinary debt service and local body loans of early maturity.
