FANCY DRESS DANCE HAPPY SCHOOL FUNCTION (Herald Correspondent.) An ideal night for dancing drew a large crowd of parents, children and adult dancers to the school dance held in the No. 3 Y.M.C.A. Hall, Kopuawhara, on Thursday night. With music supplied by Messrs J. Olene, J. Worsfold, J. Puriri and W. Nathan, the proceedings went with a swing, the children and adults alike thoroughly enjoying the night out. Mr. W. B. Nathan made an able M.C. for the adults’ programme. The school life-saving team, including the winners of the Knapp Life-saving Shield, gave a demonstration of land drill. There were also present the following children from the Paritu school:—Martha Rangi, Ivy Osborne. Mavis McCahon, Pat Quinn, Roy Osborne, Len Osborne and Peter Qu inn.
