WONDERFUL RECEPTIONS
GOVERNOR IN SAMOA ROUND OF -ENGAGEMENTS (Reed. July 28, 9 a.m.) APIA, July 27. Visits ‘to the Methodist mission headquarters and the girls' school at FaleuTa, also to the Catholic mission a't iMoamoa were ,paid yesterday morning by ,t‘he Governor-General, Viscount Galway, and Lady Galway. In the afternoon they visited the Avele sch'ool for boys.
The 'faipu'le and other leading Samoans visited the Achilles in the morning, and the ship was open to visitors in the afternoon.
Last evening a ball was held at Government House. A boxing tournament was staged by men from the ship; anri local men.
Beautiful weather still holds. The.ir Excellencies are enjoying wonderful receptions everywhere, but are ‘having a very busy time fulfilling all the engagements on the programme.
