Speaking to-day in the House of Commons, the Foreign Under-Secre-tary. Mr R. A. Butler, stated that it was not within 'the scope of the Foreign Office Publicity Department to deal with the co-ordination of the Empire news services and counter measures to anti-British propaganda, but there was constant contact with the Empire press, which was always ready to correct misleading statements.
