In March last a deputation irom the 'Municipal Association and the Oounity Association waited on the Minister and urged the desirability oi changes being made in the existing system. ~ ~ ~ ... „ In his letter, 'Mr. Fraser said that the reprehenfations had received the careful consideration of the Government. . , The president, Mr. C. J. Tal'oot, said the conference had already considered the question fully and the executive would carry on with its representations.
