The traveller, Professor A. B Richardson, D S 0.. B Sc„ A.B'.C.S., a Fellow of the University College of London 'and 'holder of the chair of mathematics at 'the University of Wales, Swansea, arrived at Wellington yesterday .afternoon iby the Rangitata from London. He was accompanied by his wife. They were booked to sail again by the Rangft'iki, leaving Wellington at daybreak this morning on the return voyage .home. Professor Richardson said he bad come to New Zealand on a health trip, intending >to make the round trip with the vessel and spend about three weeks in the Dominion. However, he had found the recent weather 'in this part of the world so cold that he .had now made arrangements t'o return by the Rangit'iki. He felt it was a sh'ame to have come ;o far for so brief a stay here, but health reasons left him no choice. 'He had been badly 'wounded in the Great War and could not face the cold.
