EGYPT AND TURKEY MEASURES FOR DEFENCE (Reed. July 26, 2 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. The strengthening of Egypt’s defences and closer liaison with Turkey is evidenced in messages 1 from. Simla and Cairo. It is officially announced that certain troop movements occurring in India shortly are of a purely precautionary nature. It is understood that troops will be drafted to Egypt, where accommodation is being constructed on the Western Desert.

It is announced that Egypt and Turkey are exchanging military missions.
