VICE-REGAL TOURISTS TOKELAU CROUP VISITED (Elec. Tel.. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Reed. Julv 27, 9 a.m.) APIA, July 25. The visit of H.M.S. Achilles, with the Governor-General, Lord Galway and Lady Galway to the Tokelau Group, was carried out on schedule. The party received a very warm welcome from the natives, who reported that they were 'all in good health and nothing had occurred to mar their usual routine. Shooting the reefs in canoes when lanciing gave file party a thrni. Fortunately mere were no spnls. Laay Galway enjoyed the experience 'immensely.

On Monday afternoon the Soccer learn from H.IVI.S. Achilles defeated an island team by three goals to one. Their Excellencies and party were present during the evening at a Seiaute Club dance which drew a large crowd. A searchlight display by the ship took place at 7.3 U p.m.

The European reception was well attended by all nationals resident in Samoa. The Hon. O. F. Nelson presented the address.

His Excellency replied thanking the people for the warm reception accorded the vice-Regal party.

A visit to the Government schools al If! 11l and Mania took up the remainder of the forenoon. Golf, cricket and Rugby were arranged for the entertainment of the officers and ratings. On arrival at Mulinuu, Their Excellencies met native representatives and officials.

Alipia, leader of the Fono of Faipules, made a speech of welcome. In reply, His Excellency included a message from the King. He also referred to the late Malietoa. The King’s kava was then served. The parly next proceeded to the grave ot' Malietoa and there met the widow and children.

11 is Excellency again addressed the assembly and placed a wreath on the grave.

The remainder of the afternoon was taken up with native talolos and dances. A reception for on i-J.M.S. Achilles was held at 4 p.m.
