MR. WILLIAM T. MURPHY ONCE WORLD CHAMPION (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The death occurred to-day of Mr William Thomas Murphy,_ aged 77. once champion featherweight boxe: of the world, in the Auckland Hospital after a long illness. He livec alone in the Arch Hill district anc was a familiar figure about the city until he was admitted to hospital several weeks ago.

Requiem Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Ponsonby, on Friday morning and the funeral will be held' later at the Waikarakd cemetery.
