TE KARAKA NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) Miss Joan Cottcrill, nurse-in-charge of the Te Kanaka dental clinio, is stationed at Matawai for a few months, during which time school children, in the .surrounding districts will receive dental attention. 'Mr. G. Crisp, Wellington, paid a business visit to Te Karaka this week. —Mr. G. Mitchell. Government Held librarian, is expected 'in Te Karaka on August 4. The winners of last week’s euchre tournament conducted .by the Te Karaka School Committee were '.Mrs. ,J. V. Castles and Mr. A. Curtis. The final of the series will be held in '.he Waikohu Hall this week, when the programme will include miscellaneous items and dancing. The W'aikohu Badminton Club met this week and it was decided to hold the annual handicap tournament for the Cooper Cup next Monday evening.
