AUCKLAND SWEPT .SHIPPING DELAYED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. With driving south-westerly squalls, broken by periods of sunshine, the wintry weather experienced in Auckland this week continued yesterday. The wind was strong and heavy rain squalls were frequently accompanied by hail. The rainfall for the month is now about Bin., a figure which is approaching the record for July of 12in. Ships coming into Auckland are reporting delays. The Port Hunter was due from London cn Sunday and will now arrive on Monday, and the German steamer Erlangen, from New Orleans, states that she will reach port about Monday. The Erlangen was previously due to-day.

Inter-Club Match Members arc reminded of the in-tcr-club match with the Poverty Bay club, details of which are posted in the clubhouse. PARK CLUB LADIES Last week-end the first qualifying round for the club championships was played by members of the Park Ladies’ Golf Club, the best card being handed in by Miss M. Haisman. 101 —32 —09, with Miss L. Haism.,n and Miss,Preston, net, 72, second. Mrs. Wells and Miss M. Haisman retained the J. K. Stars. In the McMurray Star competition, Mrs. Altey was defeated by Miss G. McKenzie, who will be challenged by Mrs. Reynolds during the week-end. The competition for the B section next week-end will be 'an L.G.U. medal round, while the C section will play a mystery hole match. The following is the draw: —Miss Preston and Miss Kay; Miss Lane and Miss Carr; Miss Wells and Miss Jclinek; Miss Hollis and Miss Reid; Miss Bannister and Miss Hill; Miss Landman and Miss Leslie; Miss Price and Miss L.
