COMMUNIST ACTIVITIES AGENTS IN AMERICA THE ARMY AND NAVY (Rccd. July 25, 2.30 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, July 24. A former Communist, Theodore Stark, testifying at the trial of Harry Bridges, said that .Communists had had units aboard the United States ‘battleship Oklahoma and also in the Bremerton navy yard. They were trying to “win over the armed forces to help in the revolution.” Stark described a Communist meeting in Seattle in 1936 at which a United States Army soldier, in uniform and with his face hidden by a mask, reported on Communist activities at Fort Lawton, Seattle.
