He also had in his possession a bunch of 33 keys. In entering a conviction, the magistrate postponed sentence. “I don’t like the look of that bundle of keys,” ne said. Two other deserters also arrested in south Taranaki were under age and were dealt with in the Juvenile Court. One was fined £5 as the price of .admission to the .country and his present employer immediately paid this and took the boy back to his farm. The other boy expressed a wish to go back to England and he will be returned when a ship is available.
