TOLAGA PLUNKET SOCIETY GRATEFUL MOTHERS EIGHTH ANNUAL MEETING The eighth annual meeting of the Tolaga Bay sub-branch of the Plunket Society was' held in Lite Paris!) Hall, Tolaga Bay, last Saturday, there being a good attendance. The balance sheet showed the society to be in a sound financial position, there being a good credit balance to begin the year's work. It was very evident from the remark made by some of the mothers present that the work done by the Plunket nurse was' greatly appreciated, especially in the more rural districts, where ever, bad weather did not deter .grateful mothers from meeting the nurse at the roadside on her journey up and down the Coast. Trilby King Memorial Fund Before retiring from the chair, the president, Mrs. J. L. Reeves, referred to ihe fund which had been opened to provide a suitable memorial to the founder of tire society, tne late Sii Truby King, and expressed the hone that, members would show their appreciation of the wonderful work begun by him by supporting the fund. Mds. Reeves thanked ihe retiring committee and all members for ’.heir loyal support ancr co-operation; Nurse Preston for her excellent work, despite the very bad travelling conditions on the Coast last winter; Sister Johnstone for her help; Mr. Morton for his services in auditing the society's books, and the committees of both Anglican and Presbyterian churches for the use of the Parish Hall and vestry in which to carry on the work. ■Officers Elected The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: President. Mrs. J. L. Reeves; vice-president?, Mesdames E. Reeves, E. Loisel, P. Weeks, Geo. Wilson, A. Donald. S. MacDonald, and Matiazzi; secretary and treasurer. Mrs. C. A. Mackintosh; auditor, Mr. W. F. Morton; committee. Mesdames C. Spencer, N. F. Bonham, E. Shelton, O. James, A. Cranewiclc, H. Barron. J. A. Moore, Fred. Lawrence, G. McCullough, P. Pcrly, K. Colson, and J. M. Fraser.
