Malcolm—Warrington Decorations of Hoses A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Luke’s Church. Waerenga-a-ilika on Saturday evening, when Edith Amelia, elder daughter of Mrs. Warrington and the late Mr. A. L. Warrington, Waerenga-a-hika, was married !o William George, son or Mr. A. Malcolm and the late Mr c . Malcolm, Tokomaru Bay. The Rev. R. C. Aires officiated at the ceremony, and Mrs. Topp presided at the organ. Bowls of roses in soft shades ol pink were used with artistic c-llcct in the decoration of the church. Tlie bride looked cr, arming in a frock of heavy . magnolia satin worn with a sleev less picoiedged bolero. The bodice, showing long sleeves shirred at the shoulder and pointed over the hand, was shirred on either side of the square neckline, and ornamented with tiny buttons from the neck 1o the pointed yoke below the waist at the back. The long gored skirl was clos'dy moulded at the hips and just -revealed court shoes of matching

satin. Her veil of embroidered silk net was held m place wan a mto or pearls coin Dined with orange blossom, and a sheaf of miniature arum lilies, snowdrops, speet pc as and hnes-oi-the-valley was carried. Bridesmaid in Rose Pink Sheer Tiie bride was attended by Mis.. Blanche Ginger, wearing a panelieu frock of rose pink sheer mounted on matching sarin, designed wiui a square neckline and snort sleeves pleated at the shoulder. The front or the bodice was softly gauged and a narrow band caught with silver buckles accented the back and front panels at the waist. A pink and silver Juliet cap ornamented wuh a spray of pink flowers made an attractive headdress, and silver shoes were worn with stockings to tone. A bouquet composed of pink camellias, carnations, sweet peas and blue irises lied with silver ribbons completed the ensemble. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Tom Kerr, Opotiki. After the ceremony an enjoyable re-

ception, followed by a dance, was hem in Le Grand Cafe. The table dccora-

tions -were artistically carried out with slender vases of roses, carnations and hydrangeas in delicate shades of pink. The customary toasts were honoured and the handsome ivory three-tier, square wedding cake was cut by the bride.

The music was supplied by Mrs. Ledger, and during an interval in the dancing a humorous elocutionary number was contributed by Miss E. Grant. The bride travelled in a'smart Durban brown costume worn with an ivory satin blouse, a brown hat, ai.c accessories to tone. Mrs. Warrington, mother of the bride, was wearing an elegant gow< of London tan repp embroidered in rust, and a hat to tone. H r bouque was composed of roses and daphne. Miss B. Warrington, sister of the bride, wore a becoming frock of georgette printed in autumn toning:-, and a white fur cape. The future home of the bride ana bridegroom will bo at Te Kaha, Bay of Plenty.
