The Sydney Morning Herald points out that the racehorse Homeric, which •broke a leg on Saturday and was destroyed, was the third sen of Quadrilateral to break a leg. His fullbrother, Homer, met with Ins accident a few days after dead-healing in the A.J.C. Derby, and his half-brother, Rob Roy, broke a leg during a training gallop at Melbourne, but was saved for the stud. Homeric cost 1900gns. He was not insured.
