ZONE FINALISTS FOUND
DAVIS CUP SERIES CUBA AND AUSTRALIA (Reed. July 24, 2 p.m.) HAVANA. July 23. Cuba will be Australia's eppoiv ent in tire American zone final of the Davis Cup tennis elimination series. Morales (Cuba), defeated Tarskis (Canada), (5—2, G —4. 3 —6. O—G, G— 4, in the first of to-day’s singles, giving Cuba a 3-—1 lead. A message from Vancouver states that Ilopman told the Australian Associated Press that a long trip to Havana was out of the question, particularly as Havana has hard court'. "It is almost certain Unit we will play Cuba at Montreal on the same dates as already arranged, or failing that somewhere in the eastern states.” said Ilopman.
