HINDENBURG’S CHAIR

WAR RELIC RETURNED LONDON, July 13. A threadbare tapestry armchair which Marshal von Hindenburg, German Commander-in-Chief in the war, used at German headquarters at Spa between June, 191 G, and November, 1918, and was recently exhibited at the Imperial War Museum, has been handed over to the German Ambassador by its owner, Major John Reginald Chambers, as a friendship gift.

Herr Hitler, having been apprised of the gift, expressed his appreciation.

Major Chambers was attached to British general headquarters during the war.
