When piaying in a golf match at Highclifl’e. Hampshire, recently, L Phillips, of Southampton, was temoorarilv knocked out by his own ball. He’ had attempted a 200yds iron shot to the green when his ball struck a tree, rebounded, and hit him with great force on the forehead. As soon as Phillips had recce ered his opponent remarked: "My hole, I believe. The ball struck you.”
