COMPETITION GAMES TAPUAE DEFEAT ORANGI c (Special to the Herald.) WAdROA, this day. Playing in the men’s seeder of tl’ r 'Vairoa Hockey Association’s compet:ion matches on Saturday, Tapuae P beat Orangi 3 after a clo : ’e and inter-•-ting encou n ter. Both teams gave a good exhibition of dofe--’'-r and towards the latter stages play was very even. For the winners Edwards, the Tapuae centre-forward, shot live goals •and Deacon netted one, while Orangi’: goals were shot by Munro, Jacobs and ■V. Rangi. In the ladies’ section Old Girls i urncyed to Whakaki and defeated O angi by 2 goals to 1. The game was very evenly contested, the ball travelling iat a very fast pace throughout. For Old Girls Miss Pi. Riddiford shot the two goals, while Mrs. Rangi notched Orangi’s only goal.
