BACHELORS’ BALL

WHATATUTU FUNCTION GOOD ATTENDANCE (Herald Correspondent.) There was a good attendance at the Bachelors’ Ball held in the Whatatutu on night. The air was keen and frosty and those present derived much enjoyment from the dancing. Music was supplied by Mrs. Menzies’ orchestra. A savoury supper was served' .from tables decorated with spring flowers. Among those present were Mrs. C Stevens, wearing a pink crepe de chine frock; Mrs. C. Collins, a dull green flat crepe frock with gold accessories; Mrs, R. King, black ring velvet with touches of red; Mrs. IT. Walker, blue floral georgette; Mrs. D. Campbell, prune velvet; Mrs. S. Friday, black ring velvet with gold trimmings; Mrs. B. Alexander, floral crinkle crepe; Mrs. Bull, blue figured crepe; Mrs. D. Anderson, maroon marocain ' spotted in white; Mrs. J.

Millard, pink georgette; Mrs. A. Shaw, green floral crepe; Mrs. E. Tait, floral marocain; Mrs. Menzies, blue crinkle crepe; Mrs. Greaves, black marocain; Mrs. F. Pitcher, blue satin with silver .trimmings; Mrs. Bartlett, nigger brown velvet; Mrs. McCarthy, blue floral crepe; Mrs. Peniha, green crepe de chine. Miss J. Clarke wore a frock of pink Swiss organza; Miss R- King, black and gold taffetas; Miss M. Tonks, (lame satin with a white fur coatee; Miss S. Clarke, blue wool crepe; Miss N. Ansel!, floral satin; Miss M. Alexander, blue taffeta; Miss P. Ratcliff, red shimmer satin with gbld trimmings; Mis-s O. Isaacson, silver lame; Miss E. Lennane, white net; Miss ,T. Hale, blue taffeta; Miss A. Clarke, blue satin; Miss G. Brown, black satin; Miss M. Tait, tomato spotted taffeta, with a black coatee; Miss V. Delahunty, pink floral satin.

Miss R, Boynton was wearing a dove grey satin frock trimmed with sequins; Miss M. Maunscll, pink taffeta; Miss G. Parkinson, dull gold lace over green; Miss V. Seymour, navy moire taffeta, with a blue lace coatee; Miss J. Campbell, blue floral taffeta; Mis-s K. Kewa, black embroidered net; Miss V. Kewa, black crepe with gold .trimmings; Miss D. Thompson, white lace; Miss 1 B. Dornan, black velvet; Miss K. Stevens, floral organdie; Miss M. Stevens, salmon pink marocain; Miss J. Rodgers, sky blue georgette: Miss H.
