CAPSIZE AT NIGHT

NAPIER HARBOUR LAUNCH ESCAPE OF THE CREW (Special {o the Herald,) NAPIER, tills day. Two employees of the Napier Harbour Board had a fortunate escape from from injury and perhaps death when a launch, in which they were assisting to moor the board’s dredge, capsized and sank. The accident occurred at about 11 pan. on Tuesday, when a heavy swell was running, and the launch collided with the dredge. The two men on the launch, Messrs. A. Brown and H. Elliott, were able to secure a firm grasp of the .side of the dredge, and escaped with nothing more than art unpleasant, ducking in the cold water. The launch was raised to the surface yesterday afternoon, when it was found that the only damage sustained by the craft was a severe springing of the hull-
