MODEL KINDERGARTEN

EXHIBITION STRUCTURE MR. J. FLETCHER’S GIFT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Reference to the offer of Mr. James Fletcher to contribute labour materials up to the value of £IOOU towards the cost of providing a model kindergarten at the Centennial Exhibition, provided a State subsidy could be obtained, was made by Mrs. Dowsett, secretary of .the. organising council of the Wellington Free Kindergarten Association, at the monthlylunch of the Wellington Justices of the Peace Association yesterday. She said Mr. Fletcher had also approached a number of firms who had agreed to assist and, as a result, a wonderful building was now going up on the exhibition grounds. The most pleasing thing about it was that when the exhibition ended, the building would remain in Wellington. The association had yet to find a suitable section, for it would have to pay foi shifting it from the exhibition grounds.
