“In view of the approaching Centennial Exhibition and the influx ot visitors to Wellington, it is fell that it would be impossible for the peop.e to get reasonable accommodation anywhere unless the Kent Restriction Act is out into force for all houses, said Mr. F. D. Cornwell, secretary ot •he national council of the Federation of Labour. It is suggested that tne Act should embrace all houses and that its operation should be made retiospcctivc to a certain date in the case of new houses which it does at present not affect. .
