MR. E. L. BAILLIEU PART-OWNER OF AJAX (Klcr. Tel. Copyright—Unitml Press Assn.) (Reed. July 15, S) a.in.) MELBOURNE, July 14. The death has occurred of Mr. Edward Lloyd Baillieu, aged 70, part owner of the racehome Ajax and one of six brothers with wide business interests in Australia and I,ondon.

He was a member of the London Stock Exchange. Mr. Baillieu was a prominent figure on the Australian turf and won the Melbourne Cup in 1924 with Backwood.
