CARRIER’S LOSS OF LEG SI HUNTING ACCIDENT (Special to tile Humid.) BLENHEIM, this day. In the case in which Walter Todd, a carrier, Pictor, claimed £2OOO from the Railways Department for the loss of a leg, the jury awarded the full amount after a retirement of under half an hour. The case was adjourned to enable counsel for Ihe defendant to consider the points of law involved. The jury held that the Department’s servants were negligent and absolved the plaintiff.
