Although it is a year since the modern multipleunit electric train began running between Wellington and Johnsonville it is still a novelty, to be enjoyed by any visitor. The train glides so smoothly through pleasant; landscapes that a passenger may well be loth to leave the very comfortable seat at the end of the journey. This train is a wonderful expression of human ingenuity. Emphatically it shows that in progressive policy the New Zealand Government Railways are not lagging behind the railway enterprises of Europe or America.
