SPANISH REPUBLICANS HUTII LESS SUPPRESSION (Reed. July 13, Noon.) LONDON. July 12. ■Messages from Gibraltar state that reports received there insist that the casualties at T’cnaranda de Brancemonte, where a terrific explosion -was reported to have occurred on Sunday, were due not so much to the accident but to a revolt, which was ruthlessly quelled. A Lisbon message states that the fires caused by the explosion were finally extinguished this morning. Many more victims are reported to have been found among the ruins.
Foreign legionaries landed at Algerciras from at least two transports from Morocco this week.
Hendaye reports state that the official Spanish radio admits that Republican militiamen are still in open rebellion near Oviedo, on the northeastern coast.
