N.Z. CHALLENGE SHIELD
TWO GAMES LISTED In view of a proposed Poverty Bay challenge for the New Zealand Hockey Shield, at present held by Auckland, suggested dates for shield matches will be of interest in Gisborne. Wellington has been allotted a game against Auckland for July 22. Auckland had suggested August 19 for a match against Waikato, if the northern city team still held the trophy, but the New Zealand Association failed to confirm that, because ■-? there were other challenges August 19 would be rather late in the sea'son. The date for Waikato’s challenge has oeen left open in the meantime.
