BRITISH REGULAR ARMY BEST MONTH SINCE WAR (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 am. RUGBY, July 12. Regular army recruiting during June broke all records for that month since the Great War. : The number accepted was 4G72, an increase of about 1000 compared: with June 1938. The total admissions during the quarter ended December 30 was 14,281 compared with 10,233 in the corresponding quarter of 1938, and 1.0,588 during the first quarter of 1939. This total, like that for June also, broke ail regular army recruiting records for any quarter since the war.
