AIR-RAID SHELTERS

-The Belgian Minis Irv of YJ' Defence recently decided, in view of he great cost of 'building air-raid shelters, to investigate the slat:menu of archaeologies that subterranean passages exist below Brussels and its sutoiubs, and one such passage has nr ,v been found under the centre of the city. It. is about 120 yards long and well ventilated and, as it has between 15ft. and 18ft. of earth above it, is suitable for use as an air-raid shelter. The search is to continue in other towns as well as Brussels.
