The New Zealand Finance Minister, Mr. W. Nash, and the Governor of the Bank of England, Mr. Montagu Norman, consulted this afternoon to finalise the details of the export credits which are believed to total £10,009,000 for defence purposes spread over two years under the Exports Credits’ Guarantee Department, but mostly under the Board of Trade’s new powers guaranteeing loans in ’he national interests. Tire stock markets are more cheerful all round, but business is restricted. New Zealand bonds recovered slightly.
