BREAKING AND ENTERING OPOTIKI. CHILDREN’S COURT (Special to tlio Herald.) OPOTIKI, this day. Before Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Children's Court in Opotiki yesterday, a youth, aged 1(5 was charged with the theft of six bicycles and also with the theft of cycle soriesAfter hearing the evidence, Mr. Walton placed the defendant under the supervision of the child welfare officer, deferring sentence for three months. A penalty, contingent on the behaviour of the accused, will be fixed at the expiration of this period.

Another juvenile offender was charged with breaking and entering and theft and was placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Department for one year. An order for restitution of the money involved was made.
