LENDING PROGRAMME
ROOSEVELT’S SCHEME CONGRESS OPPOSITION (Reed. July 12, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 10. Bills authorising President Roosevelt's self-liquidating lending programme were introduced in Congress to-day. They encountered strong opposition. The amount involved now is £539,800,000, credits for foreign Governments being cut from £300,000,000 to £20,000,000
