SOVIET TRADE UNIONS \YORLD CONFERENCE (Reed. July 10, 9 a.m.) ' ZURICH, July 8. The conference of the International Federation of Trade Unions rejected by 4li votes to 37 the British invitation to Russian trade unions to become affiliated. The question of working hours is to toe 'taken up when events permit. A further resolution advocated the economic planning of industry in order to avoid plunging millions of workers into a crisis.
