HAWKE’S BAY RECRUITS
RESPONSE AT HASTINGS (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Despite cold unpleasant weather, 200 young men attended an enthusiastic recruiting meeting at Hastings last night. The recruiting campaign has achieved remarkable success and at the end of the meeting last night the enrolments exceeded the number required to bring the Hastings units of the regiment up to the new strength
