RESISTING AGGRESSION GITA M REEL AIN’S LETTERS (British Official Wireless.! Reed. 9 a.m. 'RUGBY, July 3. In a message to the Government candidate for the 'North Cornwall byelection, the Prime Minister, (Mr. Neville Chamberlain, says: “The British Government always has expressed its desire that differences between nation's should be settled by discussion and co-operation. On the other hand, we have made it no less clear that we are resolutely opposed to attempts to impose settlements 'by force and that, if need be, we would meet such attempts toy force.” In a message to another Government supporter engaged in -a by-election campaign at Caerphilly. Mr. -Chamberlain also refers to the international situation. He says: “The vast armaments and the peace front which -we are seeking to 'build threaten no one. Their sole purpose is to strengthen and consolidate the forces of those who are determined to resist any attempt at aggression or domination.”
