War on Wild Pigs
Wild pigs, which are a pest among sheep in the Wanganui back country, have bad war declared on them. Since the beginning of June about. 80 snouts and tails have been brought to -the Department of Agriculture to claim the 'bonus of Ls for each pig killed. During the three months of 1987. in which a similar bop us v/a.-s offered, 1280 animals were destroyed.
