HASTINGS RECRUIT DEFENCE OF DOMINION (IYv Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Now a Hastings resident, a man who has served for two years in a foreign army yesterday offered his services to the military authorities, saying: “This is the country of my adoption and I am willing to serve it now.” “What a wonderful lesson to the country in which he now lives,” said the Hastings recruiting officer, commenting on the offer. As the man is 43 years old he has been enrolled in the military reserve.
