MEMBER RESIGNS

POSITION ON COMMISSION SHEEP INDUSTRY. INQUIRY For private reasons, Mr. R. C. Todlumter, of Methven, Canterbury, has resigned from the Royal Commission which was recently appointed to investigate the present position of the sheepfarming industry. A deputation of members of Parliament from South Island electorates, in which there arc large areas of high country, waited on the act-ing-Minister of Lands, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, and suggested an appointment to fill Mr. Todhunter's place.
